Day 2: Shine Your Shoes

August 20, 2011

The post from the Art of Manliness

Maybe you, dear reader, knew this already, but finding  a little tin of shoe polish is not as simple as walking into a CVS, a Marshall’s Shoe Megastore, or even a Payless. There were many nice loafers and dress shoes and pumps, but nary a tin of shoe polish in sight. So I settled for a cutesy shoe shine sponge-thing that was undeniably less messy but also far less satisfying despite working:

Before - looking at this photo I recall that I have nicer pumps that need heel adjustment but not shining. See the questionable Payless alternative to shoe polish and rag.

Shiny, not bad Payless shine sponge

Send me your address and I will send you suplies and raspberry jam. If there is one thing Utahans know how to do it is polish leather.

Can we ride horses and watch goats climb trees? I’m gonna need a big step-ladder to get on a pony, btw.

Yes, yes, and yes. But there is also a fence.
