Piers Park in East Boston

September 21, 2011

This place is beautiful. We got there by walking along a residential street on the south side of East Boston until we saw steps leading down the hill towards the water. Along the way down, we admired the view the people on the hill must have of the city and the ocean.

Down to the ocean

The park was very quiet on a Thursday afternoon and Cecilia and I played a bit on the fitness equipment in one corner of the park before walking down the pier. The grass and walkways were beautifully landscaped and manicured.

Even the benches felt classy yet natural.

Look at this view

There were a few of these pavilions spaced throughout the pier

Cecilia plugged into the peacefulness of the park - the pavilion she was sitting in was cutely named "Noddle island"

I cannot get over this view

I’ll have to return here on a sunny day and with a fully charged camera rather than my trusty BlackBerry.
