Bunker Hill

The Bunker Hill Monument does a pretty good job of sneaking up on you for a massive monument that’s on a hill surrounded by residences. I went out of my way to see it since it’s not often that I’m in Charlestown, but even if I hadn’t known it was there behind the three-story apartments in my immediate line of vision, I would have been drawn to to it by the glimpses available between brick buildings. It’s one end of the Freedom Trail and free to climb!
